Common questions about the integration
Do I need a Zoho CRM paid plan?
Yes, you need an active Zoho CRM subscription (any plan). The integration works with Zoho CRM Standard, Professional, and Enterprise. A free Zoho trial works too.
Is the sync one-way or bidirectional?
The sync is primarily one-way from Nexum AI to Zoho CRM at this time. Changes made in Zoho are not automatically reflected back in Nexum. We update existing records by phone number to prevent duplicates.
Can I choose which modules to sync?
Yes. During setup you can enable or disable sync for each module (Leads, Contacts, Deals, Events, Notes). You can change these settings anytime from the dashboard.
What happens if Zoho is down?
Nexum queues failed sync operations and retries with exponential backoff (1 min, 5 min, 15 min, 1 hour, 24 hours). After 10 failed attempts the operation is marked as failed and logged.
How are duplicate records handled?
Nexum checks for existing records by phone number before creating new ones. If a lead or contact with the same phone number exists in Zoho, the sync is skipped and logged as 'already exists'.
Which Zoho regions are supported?
We support all five Zoho data center regions: United States (accounts.zoho.com), Europe (accounts.zoho.eu), India (accounts.zoho.in), Australia (accounts.zoho.com.au), and Japan (accounts.zoho.jp). Select your region during setup.
Is my data secure?
Absolutely. Authentication uses OAuth 2.0 with automatic token refresh. Access tokens are encrypted at rest in our database. Every sync operation is logged for full audit compliance.
Can I see sync logs?
Yes. The Nexum dashboard includes a full sync log viewer with real-time status, request payloads, response bodies, and error messages for every sync operation.
